West Coast Area Business Manager

Genelex is expanding their internal sales team rapidly and we are seeking someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and support this exciting growth.  We are currently seeking an WEST Coast Area Business Manager to lead, train, and help grow our Outside Sales force.

Scope and Responsibilities:

You will help to identify top talent and assist in the recruitment process, working closely with the Director of Sales to do so. At the time of hire, you will be instrumental in training and development – this will include traveling to various territories, leading weekly sales calls with your team, and ensuring Company strategies and expectations are being met. You will set the standard of excellence for your team, leading with enthusiasm, experience and professionalism. Ensuring the Outside Sales team is meeting performance goals and metrics will be paramount.

Qualifications:

  • Must be located within a reasonable distance of a major airport for travel/logistics purposes.
  • At least 5 years of Outside Sales experience with 2 of these years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in business development and creating market share in new territories.
  • Strong training, coaching and leadership skills. Classes and formal training related to these arenas a plus.
  • Proven sales track history. We will ask for numbers if they are not provided.
  • Experience influencing accounts to change their mind and assisting with implementation of new work-flows.
  • Impeccable communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify strategic accounts and close high level  business.
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up environment with a growing company. We need people who want to help build something great.
  • High standards of excellence and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Outside sales experience and previous management experience absolutely required for this position.
  • Strategic planning, organizational ability and problem solving skills essential.
  • Educational background in science is preferred.
  • Computer literate (Windows based O/S) and prior CRM experience.
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive, pre-employment background screen.
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • This position will be based from a home/personal office. You will need to have reliable internet access and a mobile phone. A lap top will be provided by the Company.
  • Travel is required and will vary. Expect travel at least 50% of the time via car, airplane and other methods as appropriate.
  • You will be working in a variety of settings in the Medical arena.
  • Extended time in front of a computer will be necessary.

Outside Medical Sales Representative

The home office headquarters are in Seattle, WA but we are on the search for a talented sales professionals in the following markets:

  • New York, NY
  • Miami, FL — this person will have the Miami metro market and should be willing to travel to outer surrounding areas.
  • Columbus, OH — this position requires travel north to Cleveland and south to Cincinnati.
  • Salt Lake City, UT — the territory will be large and may encompass the entire state if needed.
  • Denver, CO — the territory will be large and may encompass the entire state if needed.
  • Nashville, TN — the territory will be large and may encompass the entire state if needed.
  • San Francisco — this person will have the San Francisco metro market and should be willing to travel to surrounding areas in Northern California.
  • Houston, TX – this person will have the Houston metro market and should be willing to travel to surrounding areas.
  • Syracuse, NY — this territory will be large and extends throughout Upstate New York

As you can see, we are looking for road warriors who aren’t afraid to travel to capture a large network of new business.

We are seeking someone with the following qualifications:

  • Articulate, professional and personable individual who isn’t afraid to ask for their clients business.
  • Experience introducing new concepts and overcome barriers with confidence and tenacity.
  • Ability to build professional business relationships with pharmacists, physicians and their staff.
  • Willingness to generate and nurture new leads for the purpose of growing the Genelex presence in the dedicated territory.
  • Strong presentation skills and the capability to educate clients about YouScript and how to best implement our Personalized Prescribing Solution into their existing workflow.
  • Prior outside sales experience and medical market knowledge extremely helpful.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and manage territory goals.
  • Maintain detailed territory records and sales reports as directed.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Assume active leadership role in the development and implementation of sales strategies to attain assigned sales objectives.
  • Build ongoing knowledge of current industry trends, competitive information and industry/technical knowledge and disseminate that information with colleagues.
  • Retain, extend, and acquire customers through effective identification of opportunities, the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Establish/ build strong customer relationships that provide growth, profitability, and predictability.
  • Manage relationships with key physicians and influencing institutions.

The following is required:

  • At least 2 years of commission based sales experience
  • Professional, impactful presenter
  • Negotiation, customer service and problem solving skills
  • Strategic planning and organizational ability
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
  • Ability to work independently
  • Prior use of account tracking software (ie. Salesforce) and the ability to learn our CRM system
  • Computer literate; prior experience using Windows based O/S
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record– travel will be required and will make up a large part of your work week
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive, pre-employment, background screen

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; science/business background helpful
  • Experience/connections within the Medical industry
  • Prior outside sales experience
